Mr. Wen has been on the leading edge of software engineering since beginning his career in 1997 as a consultant for Oracle. In 2006, he continued his pursuits by joining the engineering team at Google. Carrying on with his passions, Mr. Wen subsequently found success at Sony Network Entertainment and Splunk between 2007 and 2017.

Mr. Wen has been a lover of math and science from an early age. He continued his fascination when he pursued the burgeoning field of computer science at the University of California Davis, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in 1993. Mr. Wen continued his education by graduating with a Master of Science in computer engineering from Santa Clara University in 1996. Aiming to keep his skills sharp, he has acquired many certifications in his field through the LinkedIn platform.

As part of his work with the Linux Foundation, Mr. Wen was invited as a speaker at the 2021 cdCon convention. In 2021, he was recruited as a planning committee member for the 2022 Spinnaker Summit. Mr. Wen also participated on the programming committee at the 2023 Spinnaker Summit.

Inspired by the booming advances in software technology, Mr. Wen chose computer engineering as his life’s work. He enjoys working with diverse teams to provide stellar products to customers while being able to incorporate new advances in the field. Attributing his success to hard work and the ability to continue to grow and learn, Mr. Wen plans to continue collaborating with his manager to stay involved in projects that will have a great impact across multiple groups and products.

When he is not working, Mr. Wen enjoys volunteering for several charities including Enterprise for Youth, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Feed the Bay. His leisure activities include skiing, golf, and tennis. Mr. Wen also likes to focus on leadership development through his membership in Fortune Connect.
