He was the mechanical department manager with Robins & Morton from 2015 to 2016 and an engineering specialist with Robins & Morton from 2012 to 2015. From 1988 to 2012, Mr. Myers garnered experience with KBR Inc. as a mechanical engineer and later senior technical adviser. He began his career in 1979 as a maintenance engineer with Champion International in Canton, North Carolina, and later worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority between 1983 and 1988.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Myers graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1979. In 1991, he earned his licensure as a professional engineer. In recognition of his accomplishments, Mr. Myers earned the Pi Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 1979 and maintains affiliation with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. In his spare time, he enjoys working around the house, electronics, repairing things and riding on horseback.
