Title: Project Engineer
Company: Olsson Associates
Location: Des Moines, Iowa, United States
Bradley A. Freeman, Project Engineer at Olsson Associates, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in civil engineering.
Mr. Freeman has excelled in his roles at Olsson Associates. Beginning in 2013, he served as the project engineer for land development until 2023, subsequently advancing to project construction manager. Additionally, he has overseen the student interns at Olsson Associates since 2015. He struggled as a beginning engineer, which motivated him to give the interns educational opportunities he did not have.
Attributing his success to the support of his peers, Mr. Freeman surrounds himself with people he trusts. After a longtime friend introduced him to engineering, he pursued an education in the field. He graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in civil engineering and a Bachelor of Science in natural resource and environmental engineering from Kansas State University in 2012. He also participated in leadership training at Tero International.
Volunteering in his community is important to Mr. Freeman, and he has devoted his time to several causes, including an eagle study for the United States Department of Natural Resources, nature exhibits, Habitat for Humanity, and the Blank Park Zoo. He cites mentoring high school students through the Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) program as his most notable achievement. He established the program in 2015, resulting in Olsson Associates becoming the most desired engineering firm for students participating in the CAPS program.
In the upcoming years, Mr. Freeman aims to advance to an upper leadership role within the company and build a team that ensures their work impacts communities positively. Outside of his work, he enjoys attending festivals, live music events, and traveling. Furthermore, he is a member of Toastmasters International.
