Wen-Yang Chiang, PhD, the senior electrical engineer at Eyas Medical Imaging, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of research engineering.
A trailblazer in his industry and a lifelong learner, Dr. Chiang has earned distinction as a senior electrical engineer on behalf of Eyas Medical Imaging, an experienced team of MRI scientists, engineers and medical device professionals whose area of expertise resides in precision imaging on behalf of infants. Leveraging nearly two decades of experience in the fields of software development, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and the medical device industry, Dr. Chiang has garnered a laudable reputation for his work on diffusion spectrum imaging technology, as well as his commitment to expanding access to health care. He previously distinguished himself as an RF engineer at NeoCoil and a software engineer with the Pantrateq Corporation in Taiwan, beginning in 2003.
After losing his uncle, a scientist who had inspired him to pursue research engineering, Dr. Chiang reconsidered his career aspirations. Though he had once considered becoming a doctor, he felt that his emotions might prevent him from handling the sorrows of his patients. Instead, he found a way to help people through clinical research and the medical device industry. After earning degrees in mechanical engineering at National Tsing Hua University, he went on to attain a PhD in biomedical engineering at Texas A&M University in 2017. Notably, while studying at Texas A&M, he was declared the winner of student research week. Looking toward the future, Dr. Chiang hopes to take on additional responsibilities and leverage what he has learned from his research regarding proper device operation in order to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
