He immigrated to the United States in 2009 before continuing his academic efforts at the University of Arkansas where he graduated with a Master of Civil Engineering in 2012 and a PhD in civil engineering in 2016. He holds certifications as a professional engineer in Peru and the State of Arkansas.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Dr. Ramirez-Garcia has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He authored or co-authored 4 articles and contributed to many more that appeared in various professional journals or periodicals. In addition to his primary vocation, Dr. Ramirez-Garcia remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American Concrete Institute, the American Institute of Steel Construction, the Golden Key International Honour Society, and PCI. He volunteered and contributed to mission trips and charities affiliated with his local church.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Dr. Ramirez-Garcia has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was recognized as an honoree by the Engineering Board of Peru in 2022, inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society in 2015, and received a Fulbright Scholarship in 2009, and publicly lauded for helping in the revision and modification of student research papers at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería in Peru.
