With many years of experience to his credit, Mr. Khamvongsa has excelled as a quality engineer for Collins Aerospace in Wisconsin since 2015. In this position, he is renowned as an expert in regulatory compliance, the AS9100 standards and a root cause analysis. Likewise, Mr. Khamvongsa is responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory benchmarks, including those set by the Society of Automotive Engineers, for all sites under his jurisdiction as well as managing all regulatory and customer audit processes.
Prior to this position, Mr. Khamvongsa was active as an electronic technician with B/E Aerospace Lighting & Integrated Systems from 2011 to 2015. He previously worked as an engineering technician with Criticare Technologies, Inc. between 2008 and 2011. Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Khamvongsa operates as a mentor in his field, offering guidance and instruction to newcomers on task execution methodologies and approaches.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Khamvongsa served in the U.S. Air Force between 1999 and 2004, during which time he advanced to the rank of airman, first class. He subsequently pursued an education at the ITT Technical Institute, from which he earned a bachelor’s degree in electronic communication and engineering technology in 2008. Moreover, Mr. Khamvongsa has been affiliated with the National Honor Society.
Mr. Khamvongsa attributes his success to his exacting standards for himself and his diligent work ethic, which he cites as the bedrock of his accomplishments. He has been greatly motivated by his profoundly transformative journey throughout his military service. Recognized as the first engineer in his family, he is incredibly proud of facilitating the attainment and maintenance of AS9100 certifications for B/E Aerospace Lighting & Integrated Systems. In the coming years, Mr. Khamvongsa hopes to find success in his present position within Collins Aerospace.
