He previously served as a senior process and manufacturing engineer with BD from 2001 to 2003, a senior development and project engineer with Accellant from 2003 to 2011, and a senior catheter engineer with Hansen Medical from 2011 to 2013. Mr. Bogusky began his career with Baxter Healthcare as a quality engineer from 1998 to 1999 and a project engineer from 1999 to 2001.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Bogusky pursued an education at Louisiana Tech University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering in 1998. He was initially inspired toward a career in engineering by his desire to help his younger brother, who had major mobility issues as a result of cerebral palsy and autism. Mr. Bogusky has been additionally motivated by his work in the vascular catheter industry, including his efforts on a robotic device that helps physicians identify and treat lung cancer faster than ever before.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Bogusky has participated in numerous endeavors in relation to his field. A past blood donor, he has contributed as a donor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and The Autism Society. Mr. Bogusky has been additionally affiliated with The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and The Italian American Heritage Foundation.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Bogusky has accrued several accolades throughout his career. Obtaining 11 patents in his industry between 2014 and 2017, he was recognized as the Innovator of the Year by Auris Surgical Robotics, Inc. in 2015. Auris Surgical Robotics, Inc. also honored him for the Most Contributions to the Company. Renowned as a pioneer in biomedical engineering who has been at the forefront of medical innovations, Mr. Bogusky was annually presented with the Making a Difference Award from Intuitive Surgical between 2017 and 2023.
