With more than 20 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Isaac has excelled as principal and founder of RI Engineering, Inc. since 2020. Concurrently, he served as principal and founder at Isaac Engineering, LLC since 2006. He established himself as senior mechanical engineer at Ellerbe Becket from 1999 to 2006. Before embarking on his professional path, he pursued an education at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in architectural engineering in 1997 and a Master of Science in architectural engineering in 1999.
Mr. Isaac holds certifications as a professional mechanical engineer from multiple governing bodies include the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration, the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation, and the Maryland Department of Labor. He is certified as a peer reviewer of mechanical plans in Prince George’s County, Maryland since 2018. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the United States Green Building Council and the American Society for Health Care Engineering.
Mr. Isaac’s most notable achievement was passing his Professional Engineering exam. It was tough to study for that particular test while having their first child prematurely, but he passed that exam and his daughter is now 21 years old. In the next five years, he plans on earning some new certifications including his CxA Commission Authority Certification and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Associate Professionals Building Design + Construction Certification.
