Dr. Julio Zimbron, founder and principal at E-Flux, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in environmental and chemical engineering.
Embarking on his academic journey, Dr. Zimbron obtained a Bachelor of Science in biochemical engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 1992. Furthering his academic pursuits, he earned a Master of Science in chemical engineering in 1996 and a PhD in chemical engineering in 2001, both from Colorado State University.
Dr. Zimbron’s professional trajectory reflects a commitment to pioneering innovative breakthroughs. He commenced his career as a chemical engineer at MFG, Inc., previously known as Shepherd Miller, Inc., from 2001 to 2003. Subsequently, Dr. Zimbron contributed significantly as a research scientist in Colorado State University’s civil engineering department from 2004 to 2005. He later held roles at GE Global Research as a chemical engineer from 2005 to 2007 and as a gasification process design project lead at GE Infrastructure from 2007 to 2009. His career progressed further, leading to a position as a research scientist at Colorado State University from 2009 to 2014. In 2013, Dr. Zimbron established E-Flux, a company specializing in advanced environmental measurements tailored to the specific requirements of applied research clients.
Dr. Zimbron was drawn to his field by a desire to contribute meaningfully to society and the environment while also being intellectually challenged. Among his notable accomplishments is the invention of a patented measurement technique that evaluates the degradation rate of contaminants in soil, a groundbreaking innovation in environmental engineering. His remarkable achievements led to him being recognized as one of two 2014 CleanTech Open finalists. He attributes his success to luck, being in the right place at the right time, and preparingfor that moment. Looking ahead, Dr. Zimbron envisions continual engagement in his area of expertise, aspiring to earn recognition as a foremost expert while striving to introduce new services aligned with customers’ evolving needs.
