At Globe Fire Sprinkler Corporation, he garnered a stellar reputation as a senior technical education specialist from 2013 to 2020.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Wiegand pursued an education at Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 2008 and a Master of Science in fire protection engineering in 2009. He holds a certification as a professional engineer from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Wiegand remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the National Fire Protection Association’s code committee, the National Fire Sprinkler Association, the American Water Works Association, the International Code Council, and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers. He found success as the author of “The Hydraulics Handbook” in association with the National Fire Sprinkler Association, Inc.
Mr. Wiegand attributes his success to his ability to establish connections with individuals who are actively involved in various projects. He has been invited to participate in endeavors due to his acquaintances’ requests for assistance. He considers himself fortunate in his career and believes that his abilities have aligned with the right opportunities.
In the immediate future, Mr. Wiegand intends to continue focusing on developing his team by expanding the number of individuals who are proficient in the use of multiple products. He plans on achieving this by organizing larger classes that teach people how to use the products effectively. He is also committed to continuously improving his skills and knowledge, particularly in the field of fire protection, with the aim of pushing the standards higher.
