John H. Baeten, Director of Advanced Engineering at Young Innovations, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medical manufacturing innovation.
Mr. Baeten has had a prestigious career in biomedical engineering, beginning his career with Inter-Med/Vista Dental Products in 2008 as the new product development engineer until 2011, advancing to engineering manager of innovation and advanced technology between 2011 and 2014, and then progressing to the director of engineering of the research and development department until 2021. In 2021, he started at Young Innovations Inc. as the director of business process optimization and is currently the director of advanced engineering. Additionally, he holds multiple patents in the biomedical sphere. He has been recognized as a fellow at Whitaker International Fellows and Scholars in 2007, the runner-up for the Commercial Innovation of the Year by the World Molecular Imaging Congress in 2016, and a two-time winner of the Best of Class Technology Award by Cellerant Consulting Group in 2019 and 2020.
Attributing his success to dedication, hard work, and good luck, Mr. Baeten utilized these attributes to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2007. He subsequently garnered a Master of Science in biomedical/medical engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 2009, followed by a master’s degree in engineering management from Duke University in 2013. He was also certified in biomedical optics from Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology in 2008 and bioengineering from the University of California at San Diego in 2011. When he is not working, Mr. Baeten dedicates his time and attention to partaking in outdoor activities with his children, fishing and hiking.
