With 20 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Baer has excelled as practice manager at Woolpert Inc. since 2023. He began his career with the same as a team leader of aviation design services from 2007 to 2014 and project manager from 2014 to 2023. In his current role, he leads part of the company’s aviation practice by managing large airfield programs, establishing goals for his group and team, reporting back to the executives, and helping in business planning and setting the expectations for the year. He is also the hiring and firing manager, focusing on recruiting and developing staff.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Baer pursued an education at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology where he earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering in 2007. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He served as president of Bargersville Main Street and vice president of the Town of Bargersville Storm Water Utility Board. He plays music for their middle school and high school programs through his church.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Baer remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the Airport Consultants Council, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies, and the American Association of Airport Executives. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was included in the Top 40 Under 40 by Airport Business in 2022.
