Joseph Carapellucci, senior consulting engineer at Joseph D Carapellucci LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pharmaceutical engineering.

With 32 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Carapellucci has excelled as a senior consulting engineer with Joseph D Carapellucci Inc. for over 30 years. He began his career as director of engineering at Jacobs Engineering from 1992 to 1996. He worked as senior manager at KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP from 1996 to 1997. He garnered a stellar reputation as vice president of the pharmaceutical initiative at CompuEngineering from 1997 to 2000 before transitioning to the role of co-founder and principal at Project By Web, Inc. from 2000 to 2006. He contributed to the POMS Corporation as director of project operations and quality from 2016 to 2017.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Carapellucci pursued an education at Drexel University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. He holds a certification as a professional engineer. He is a licensed private pilot and used to fly small aircraft. His success stems from his inquisitive nature and constant curiosity, which has led him to discern valuable insights and new ideas he has effectively employed to achieve his goals and advance professionally.

Mr. Carapelluci considers his most significant career achievement to be the successful resolution of a pharmaceutical firm’s consent decree. The company had faced severe challenges, investing substantial resources over two and a half years to resolve the problem, only to encounter additional setbacks when the FDA issued over 50 Form FDA 483s which represented observations made by the FDA during inspections and highlighted deviations from regulatory requirements and good manufacturing practices. For six months, he diligently pursued employment within the company, showcasing his understanding of the specific remediation needs. His efforts culminated in a pivotal moment when he successfully convinced the newly appointed vice president of operations to endorse his candidacy for a role in the remediation team.

Mr. Carapelluci has no plans to retire in the immediate future. He seeks to sustain his intellectual engagement and mental activity by persisting in his current pursuits. He is selective about his work, ensuring that he continues to find enjoyment in what he does and the clients he works with.
