With 50 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Camp has excelled as an IoT automation engineer at Pioneer Oil since 2019. He garnered a stellar reputation at Williams Enterprises Inc. as a senior electronic engineer from 1973 to 2014. He found success developing oilfield automation equipment as well as new solutions within the IoT and industrial IoT sectors.

Mr. Camp conceptualized and created a system at Ignition Scada System using his own “Edge of Network” remote unit that monitors and controls locations in real time. He contributed to many innovative industrial systems, including Schneider Electric VFD’s Altivar 630/930/320, the Eaton SVX9000 configuration and updates, Wireshark, CCW’s So-Move software system, EasyBuilder Pro, and the inductive automation Ignition Vision system.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Camp pursued an education at Ivy Tech Community College, where he earned an associate degree in electrical and electronics engineering in 1981. He has gone on to complete studies in industrial electronics, digital electronics, communication electronics, and air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles, including as a contributor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the Rockwell Automation Forum, the Mrplc Forum, and the Forum.

Mr. Camp considers his invention of the Watchfire Remote Video Communication Platform to be a notable highlight in his illustrious career. Additionally, he is proud of his work developing his own cellular private network infrastructure over four years. He worked with Verizon and Cisco engineers to acquire the necessary data to build a network from the ground up and enable it to grow with his future projections. In the immediate future, he intends to continue prioritizing his work and his hobbies which include studying programming, writing new programs, and playing the drums.
