Transitioning to civilian roles, Mr. Barras dedicated 12 years to Meijer Inc., serving as an in-store trainer from 1988 to 2000, showcasing exceptional dedication to customer service. He subsequently took on a position with X-Rite as a service technician and team lead from 1997 to 2015. Later, he joined ADAC Automotive, Inc. as a validation engineer from 2016 to 2023, showcasing his adaptability across industries.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Barras’s civic involvement is extensive. He has served as assistant mayor in Greenville, Michigan, from 2020 to 2023 and actively participates in committees such as the Danish Festival Committee and the Michigan Municipal League. His military service earned him recognition, notably the Humanitarian Award for his contributions during Hurricane Hugo relief operations in 1989.
In the coming years, Mr. Barras is poised to complete his Master of Business Administration.
