His distinguished 30-year career in power system engineering commenced with roles that include a systems engineer at General Electric Power from 2000 to 2001, followed by serving as senior applications engineer at Megger Group Limited from 2001 to 2006. 

Mr. Paduraru’s contributions extended as a principal engineer at ITC Holdings Corp. from 2006 to 2017, showcasing his leadership and expertise. Subsequently, he served as a senior relay settings engineer at Leidos from 2017 to 2020. His career journey includes roles as a product line manager for CAPE software at Siemens AG from 2020 to 2021 and as a principal advisor at Quanta Technology, LLC in 2022. Mr. Paduraru holds the position of senior relay settings engineer at Leidos, where he has made significant contributions by developing relay settings and mentoring junior engineers since 2022.

Throughout his career, Mr. Paduraru has earned recognition as an expert in transmission relay settings, contributing to the industry’s knowledge base by publishing numerous papers for conferences and developing new standard guides for industry committees at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He has successfully developed and deployed hundreds of relay settings for substations across over 20 states, demonstrating his meticulous planning and expertise. Additionally, he has designed over 400 generator protection panels deployed in North America and overseas. Looking ahead, he is committed to sharing his wealth of knowledge with upcoming engineers and is considering opportunities for independent contracting to continue making impactful contributions to the field of power system engineering.
