Ellenda Wulfestieg, Rater at Educational Testing Service (ETS), has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in English instruction.
Ms. Wulfestieg has had a diverse and distinguished career, working for such prestigious organizations as the Physics, Mathematics, and Astronomy Library at the University of California at Berkeley in 1967, the Museum of the American Indian in 1970, Tulane University, Tenneco Refinery, Exxon, NASA, Aruba Refinery Corporation, Shell Refinery in 1992, and Ivestra between 1993 and 1997. In 1997, she decided to focus on English instruction beginning at Better English until 2002, transferring to Pierce College in Lakewood between 2003 and 2010, and is currently serving students at the Educational Testing Service (ETS), TOEIC Program, where she has thrived since 2010. Moving forward, she wants to concentrate on writing a book about her life.
Attributing her success to having confidence, tenacity, drive, and ambition, Ms. Wulfestieg utilized these skills to pursue a degree in physics from the University of California at Berkeley. However, she didn’t complete her studies and graciously allowed her scholarship to pass to another student. She subsequently obtained a bachelor’s degree in general studies from the University of New Orleans. After beginning her career, she was recognized by NASA with an endurance record award, as well as the Washington State Governor’s Award for Best Practices in Workplace Development in 2008. When she is not working, she dedicates her time and attention to scuba diving and working with animal rescue organizations.
