His dedication to the industry led him to roles such as maintenance superintendent, turnaround manager, and project manager at LyondellBasell Industries N.V. from 2002 to 2008. In 2009, he transitioned to Flint Hills Resources as a turnaround project manager before joining DuPont de Nemours, Inc., The Chemours Company, as a mechanical integrity lead from 2010 to 2015. Currently, he serves as the mechanical integrity lead at The Chemours Company, a position he has held since 2015.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hatch has attributed his success to his father’s influence, a skilled craftsman, and his early exposure to the industry. His passion for engineering was nurtured by his father’s mentorship, which instilled in him a deep respect for professionalism and excellence. The highlight of his career came in 2015 when he received the Engineering Excellence Award from The Chemours Company for his exceptional leadership in resolving a severely damaged reactor issue.

Looking ahead, Mr. Hatch aims to expand his newly founded professional engineering firm, Raintree Engineering, PLLC, after retiring from The Chemours Company. He plans to undertake mid-term projects and travel for work, leveraging his extensive experience and expertise in the field. Throughout his journey, Mr. Hatch has been guided by mentors like Denny McClerry and Dion Watkins, whose mentorship and advocacy have been instrumental in his professional growth. Mr. Hatch advises aspiring professionals to embody dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning, hard work, and seizing opportunities for growth in the ever-evolving engineering field.
