During his tenure, he held various roles, including senior reactor operator and engineering supervisor aboard nuclear submarines, garnering invaluable experience in complex systems management and operations. His military service provided the foundation for his subsequent career endeavors and instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and dedication.

Following his military service, Mr. Wilson pursued higher education, completing coursework in physics at James Madison University in 1982 and graduating from the U.S. Navy nuclear power program, class 8601, after two years of intensive training. He furthered his education by earning a Bachelor of Science in electronics management from Southern Illinois University in 1997 and a Master of Engineering in systems engineering from Portland State University in 2010. Armed with a robust academic background and extensive practical experience, he transitioned into the civilian workforce, where he continued to excel in various engineering and management roles.

Throughout his career, Mr. Wilson has been active in both professional and civic endeavors, contributing to the advancement of engineering education and practice. He has served as a consultant, providing expert guidance in systems engineering, and has authored the acclaimed book “Cogeneration Power Plants: Planning and Evaluation” in 2018. In addition, he remains engaged with his community, serving as an ordained elder at the First Presbyterian Church, and participating in advisory boards such as the engineering leadership certification at the University of California.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Mr. Wilson has received numerous accolades and awards, including commendation and achievement medals from the U.S. Navy and recognition from industry organizations such as the Air Quality Management District. With a passion for excellence and a commitment to continuous learning, he looks forward to leveraging his expertise to establish his own consulting company, Innovative Systems Engineering, and to inspire future generations through teaching and mentorship.
