With 22 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Gorog has excelled as municipal engineering representative at OHM Advisors since 2017. He began his career as an assistant field inspector with the Ohio Department of Transportation in 1998. At McCoy and Associates, Inc., he contributed as a surveying assistant and an autoCAD technician in 2000 and as a design engineer from 2002 to 2003. He established himself as a design engineer at Greenland Consulting, Inc. from 2003 to 2005 before transitioning to the role of project engineer at Chagrin Valley Engineering from 2005 to 2017.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Gorog pursued an education at the University of Akron where he earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering in 2002. He accrued a certification with the National Association of Sewer Service Companies, Pipeline, Lateral and Manhole Assessments from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He contributed as a trustee board member of the First Congregational Church of Hudson from 2012 to 2015 and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and community food pantries in his area.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Gorog remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the Association of Mediation and Transport Services Technical Advisory Committee, the Akron-Canton chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineering, and the American Society of Highway Engineering. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was proud to be recognized as runner-up employee of the year in 2022 at his company. In the immediate future, he aspires to be a branch manager or a principal in his company.
