Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Drake pursued an education at the University of California, Davis where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1978 and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1980. He holds licenses as a ham radio operator and a first-class commercial radiotelephone operator. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He served as a hazardous materials technician and as a first responder for 30 years.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Drake has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with platinum, gold, silver, and bronze awards for various projects and received multiple Quarter Awards. His interest in the engineering field was evident from a very young age, specifically when he built his very first radio transmitter as an elementary school student. Currently, he is enjoying his leisure time and not actively seeking new professional opportunities.
