Mr. Newell’s tenure at Amazon Web Services (AWS) commenced in 2016, where he progressively advanced through roles such as data center engineering operations technician, data center engineering operations facility manager, and finally as InfraOps emergency planning manager from 2021 to 2023. Before his tenure at AWS, he served as a senior reactor operator candidate at SCANA from 2013 to 2016, where he demonstrated his leadership skills and technical acumen. Currently, he serves as Virginia division director at Claitman Engineering Associates, overseeing strategic operations with precision and expertise since 2023.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Newell remains committed to giving back to the community as a volunteer with Bethel Computers for Education, repurposing old laptops for donations.
