With over three decades of experience in the engineering and quality management realm, Ms. Merrill has left an indelible mark on the industry. Currently serving as the senior quality manager at BorgWarner Inc., she has been instrumental in establishing and developing their global regulatory and compliance division. Simultaneously, she is the founder and chief executive officer of Pontem Vitae Consulting and Coaching, a venture she established in 2019 to offer her insights and guidance to aspiring professionals and business leaders. She is also a Licensed Ziglar Coach and the co-founder of Life Journey Strategies: The FROG Program.
Prior to her current positions, Ms. Merrill held roles such as engineering section manager at Raytheon Integrated Defense from 2019 to 2022 and global product group systems and SW quality manager at Valeo from 2012 to 2019. Her journey commenced in 1994 as a firmware engineer at Cabletron Systems, Inc., and she further honed her skills in project management and optical filter design at Barr Associates from 1989 to 1994. Building a strong foundation for her future success, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 1990.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Merrill is deeply involved in various civic activities, including volunteering at her local parish and collaborating on charitable initiatives to provide food and clothes to those in need. Reflecting on her career, she attributes her success to her diligence, determination, and the guidance of excellent mentors. She finds great satisfaction in making a tangible difference in her field, particularly through implementing quality assurance measures and sharing her knowledge with others. Looking ahead, she is committed to furthering her professional development by obtaining additional certifications and continuing her work as an author and coach.
