With many years of experience to his credit, Mr. Nance has excelled as the lead quality control assistant manager with Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama since 2023. Prior to this position, he was active with the aforementioned company as a quality specialist from 2004 to 2006, an assistant manager of quality control from 2006 to 2012, and the assistant manager for quality control of equipment and VPC quality analysis from 2012 to 2016. He began his career as a specialist with DaimlerChrysler between 1999 and 2004. In light of his impressive efforts with Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, Mr. Nance was honored with the Core Values Award in 2022 and recognized as the Team Member of the Year in 2023, the latter of which remains his proudest professional achievement.
Harboring a lifelong interest in electricity and tinkering, Mr. Nance’s passions fueled his academic pursuits at Prairie View A&M University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Engineering in electrical and electronics engineering in 1995. Beyond his primary responsibilities within the field, he has contributed to those in need through The United Way, The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, and SistasCanSurvive Coalition Inc., for which he served as president. He has attributed his success to the guidance of his family, who have thrived in their own respective careers, as well as his exceptional mentors. Looking toward the future, Mr. Nance hopes to expand upon his education by obtaining a certification in quality engineering and a master’s-level engineering degree with a concentration in power electronics.
