With 26 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Tokeshi has excelled as a global go-to-market solutions architect at AWS for Global Financial Services since 2023. Prior to this position, he served as a specialist solutions architect for the US public sector and nonprofit organizations at AWS from 2022 to 2023. In this role, he established technical credibility in sales cycles for Amazon platforms, technologies, and the company by collaborating with the sales team to win new business. He also created automation scripts to streamline deployment processes, reducing time and resource requirements significantly.
He held the role of specialist solutions architect for AWS in Canada from 2021 to 2022, where he captured and conveyed best practices and provided prescriptive guidance around application and systems design on Amazon platforms, as well as collaborated with sales teams to close opportunities, achieving revenue goals associated with assignments. As a solutions architect at AWS from 2020 to 2021, he built custom demos using AWS services and established technical credibility in sales cycles, answered technical questions, and provided guidance on system design.
Before joining AWS, Mr. Tokeshi served as a principal sales engineer and architect at Citrix from 2016 to 2020, where he led technical sales engineering engagements, created proof of concept implementations, and developed partner relationships, as well as contributed to the ongoing development of GitHub repositories related to Google Cloud Platform. He also held various sales engineering roles at Citrix from 2004 to 2016. He began his career as a director of operations at Domino’s Pizza from 1995 to 1997 and as a national operations trainer at Papa John’s International from 1993 to 1995.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Tokeshi pursued an education at Virginia Tech and continued his academic efforts with various certifications, including Citrix Certified Administrator, Microsoft Certified Trainer, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified Associate Cloud Engineer, Nutanix Platform Specialist, and NVIDIA Virtual GPU Community Advisor.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Tokeshi has participated in various civic engagements, including serving as a director of the Arizona Chess Federation since 2014 and organizing GDG Cloud Phoenix from 2018 to 2020. He has also been involved in Junior Achievement. Additionally, he has maintained his involvement with organizations such as the American Society of Engineers and the United States Chess Federation.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Tokeshi was recognized as a Virtual GPU Community Advisor by NVIDIA.
