Her journey in electrical engineering also includes significant roles at Kuryakyn, Applied Minds LLC and Nearfield Systems Inc., enhancing her skills in manufacturing, product development and leadership. Her professional foundation was built during her early career stages as a pre-press quality control technician for the Los Angeles Daily News and a production layout technician for the San Bernardino Sun.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Duron pursued her education at ITT Technical Institute in Torrance, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in electronics and communications engineering in 2009, and at Collins College, where she received an Associate of Science in visual communications in multimedia design. She further expanded her professional knowledge by earning certifications in project management, electric vehicles, and other specialized areas. She also holds certifications from being a woman-owned, veteran-owned, minority-owned, and disadvantaged small business.

Beyond her responsibilities within her field, Ms. Duron has been an active mentor for veterans, women in science, young entrepreneurs and athletes, and advocates for victims of domestic violence. She also remains affiliated with various organizations, including the American National Standards Institute, and has been involved with community services like MicroMentor and the Los Angeles Derby Dolls. Her military service as an E-4 Specialist in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, where she managed military telecommunications and COMSEC equipment, further highlights her diverse skills and dedication.

Ms. Duron’s career is marked by several awards, including multiple Army Commendation and Achievement Medals. Her professional contributions have been recognized through her involvement in pioneering projects such as the Mars Rover antenna testing.
