As founder and chief executive officer, she oversees daily business operations, liaises with vendors regarding manufacturing needs, manages inventory and the company’s engineering direction, heads engineering services, and implements strategies for business growth. Prior to establishing Duron Industries, Ms. Duron served as a senior electrical systems engineer with the KLA Corporation where she led product development and hardware integration services for electrical distribution systems. Her journey in electrical engineering also includes significant roles at Kuryakyn, Applied Minds LLC, and Nearfield Systems Inc., enhancing her skills in manufacturing, product development, and leadership. Her professional foundation was built during her early career stages as a pre-press quality control technician for the Los Angeles Daily News and a production layout technician for the San Bernardino Sun.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Duron pursued her education at ITT Technical Institute where she earned a Bachelor of Science in electronics and communications engineering then attended Collins College, where she received an Associate of Science in visual communications in multimedia design. She further expanded her professional knowledge by earning certifications in Project Management, Electric Vehicles, Counterintelligence Training, Electrical Safety Training, Radio Frequency, and other specialized areas. She also holds certifications for being a Woman-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Minority-Owned, LGBT-Owned, and Disadvantaged Small Business.

Ms. Duron was prodigiously dedicated to her country. She served as an E-4 specialist in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during which time she was deployed to South Korea to support the 1st Signal Brigade Yongsan Garrison. She operated, maintained, and installed military telephones in addition to handling the COMSEC equipment for the President of the United States, AFKN radio, and AM/FM transmission systems. Throughout her service, Ms. Duron was also deployed to Fort Lewis, Washington for combat communications with the 29th Signal Battalion in support of the I Corps 7th Infantry Division. Her military service further highlights her diverse technical skills and dedication.

Included in her professional achievements, Ms. Duron has received multiple Army Accommodation Medals, Army  Achievement Medals, I Corps Eagle Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, Expert Marksmanship, Certificate of  Achievements, Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, and the Officer  Contractors Award. Likewise, she has been featured in various engineering publications.

Beyond her responsibilities within her field, Ms. Duron aligns herself with the American National Standards Institute to remain abreast of changes in the field. In conjunction with her work, Ms. Duron has contributed to her community as a mentor for veterans, advancement in science, young entrepreneurs, athletes, and an advocate for women’s rights.

Ms. Duron was also invited to collaborate with an industry-leading astronaut in prototype manufacturing. Additionally, she assisted in aerospace antenna testing for the Mars Rover Parachute. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in overcoming hurdles to become successful in a male-dominated industry.
