In this position, he is responsible for conducting field inspections and large structural inspections, collaborates with onsite contacts to ensure that all endeavors are carried out in accordance with designs and drawings, and works closely with general contractors, property managers, and building owners. He was previously active as a project engineer at Merritt Engineering Consultants, P.C., from 2019 to 2023,  a senior project manager and structural engineer at Southern Consulting Engineers from 2012 to 2023, a project manager for STV in 2018, a structural engineer and inspector for Rosenwasser/Grossman Consulting Engineers, P.C.  from 2014 to 2018, and a cost estimator and junior engineer with BRD Development from 2012 to 2014. During this time, Mr, Biordi also owned and operated Alpha Detailers, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on experience between 2015 and 2023. 

Prior to these posts, Mr. Biordi served as an assistant sales manager with Silver Point Car Care Center from 2006 to 2007, a tutor with the Higher Education Opportunity Program from 2010 to 2012, and an office engineer with The Liro Group from 2009 to 2012. Beyond his professional achievements, he remains involved in his community, contributing as a volunteer soccer coach at a local Catholic school, a member of the Queens Bronx Building Association, and a member of the Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAofNY). To support his ambitions in his field, he earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering with a concentration in structural engineering from the University of North Dakota and a Bachelor of Science in applied engineering physics with a concentration in mechanical engineering from Fordham University. Mr. Biordi has also expanded upon his impressive skill set with myriad certifications in his industry, including those from the Federal Aviation Administration, the International Code Council, the State of New York, The North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors, and the Construction Management Association of America, among many others.

Mr. Biordi’s dedication to safety and innovation is particularly notable, having identified and confronted numerous unsafe conditions in building restoration projects while addressing issues such as displacing facades, deteriorating multi-level garages, severed framing components on fire escapes, and leaning parapet walls. His pioneering use of drones to identify building defects in previously inaccessible areas exemplifies his innovative approach to problem-solving and his commitment to leveraging technology to improve the industry. His professional philosophy is grounded in the belief that success comes from a constant desire to learn and grow through passionate curiosity and hard work.
