His previous roles include owner of Michael A. Macri, Consulting Engineers from 1987 to 2011, project engineer at John Mallozzi Associates from 1986 to 1988, project engineer at James John Romeo, Consulting Engineers PC from 1984 to 1986, engineer at M.W. Kellogg in 1983, and engineer at Crawford and Russell, John Brown Company from 1981 to 1982. His memberships include the American Society of Civil Engineers, Freemasonry, and the Rotary Club, and he is a former member of the American Concrete Institute and the National Society of Professional Engineers. Civically, he has been a board member of the Italian Center of Stamford from 1998 to 2024 and a musician with Kids Empowered by Your Support since 2015. Reflecting on his career, Mr. Macri found his calling in entrepreneurship driven by a strong yearning for independence and autonomy. He attributes his desire to own his own business to a rebellious spirit and a passion for managing his time on his own terms. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1981 and has been a certified professional engineer in Connecticut, New York, and Ohio since 1986. He takes pride in his notable achievement of starting his structural engineering business before turning 30. He attributes his success to his commitment to prompt responses to calls and emails. In the coming years, he plans to retire, selectively choose the projects he undertakes, and continue serving long-time clients.
