Drawing on 40 years of experience in engineering, Mr. Klahn has served as a senior member of the technical staff and principal technical program manager at Rodelco Electronics Corporation since 2023. In this role, he manages a team and provides support throughout the manufacturing and production process. Mr. Klahn also contributes to further business development for Rodelco, playing an essential part in the company’s growth. His areas of expertise include microwaves, transmitted procedures, analysis, design and development, providing him with a notably well-rounded perspective on his industry.

Prior to joining Rodelco, Mr. Klahn built his reputation in the field as the director of engineering in electronic services at U.S. Dynamics Corporation, a senior product design engineer at Persistent Systems LLC, and the director of engineering at Collins Aerospace. He held the position of director of radio frequency and microwave systems at Frequency Electronics Inc. from 2005 to 2017. Across his extensive professional life, Mr. Klahn has contributed to the development of space technology, communication satellites, aircraft bombers and ground vehicles. He is responsible for creating D1 electronic components, a significant contribution to the field.

Before venturing onto his vocational path, Mr. Klahn laid a strong academic foundation that he could draw on in the future. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Pratt Institute in 1982. Subsequently, Mr. Klahn earned a master’s degree in engineering and electromagnetics from the Polytechnic University. Beyond his schooling, he has stayed updated on the latest developments in his industry through his membership in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Klahn has written numerous articles sharing his insights with research journals. One of his most notable papers, “True RMS Power Detection With High Dynamic Range,” was published by the IEEE in 1999 as part of the 1999 Microwave Theory and Technology Society International Microwave Symposium. Additionally, Mr. Klahn holds 10 patents, demonstrating his ingenuity and commitment to mastery of his craft.  His achievements were honored when the IEEE presented him with the Charles Hirsch Award in 2015.

When considering the source of his success, Mr. Klahn points to his curiosity, his constant desire for more knowledge, and his ability to understand new ideas quickly. He was drawn to engineering as a subject due to its complexity and desire to be challenged every day. Mr. Klahn has embraced that challenge and remains excited to go to work every day with an open mind. He has also started to mentor young engineers, passing his knowledge and winning attitude on to the next generation.

Beyond his career, Mr. Klahn enjoys running, exercising and carpentry. He is dedicated to his work at Rodelco Electronics Corporation and hopes to lead the company to more growth in the years ahead. Mr. Klahn looks forward to continuing to develop cutting-edge proposals and designs that implement the newest technology into the group’s processes. He aims to work with colleagues across the whole of Rodelco as he helps to push the organization to new levels of success.
