Henry Lee Everson, PE, president and chief consultant at EEE Consulting Firm, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in electrical engineering.
With over five decades of experience, Mr. Everson has built a distinguished career in engineering, specializing in electronics, electrical power, and management. His expertise spans residential, commercial, and industrial electrical power supply and design, controls, protective relaying, power factor correction, lightning protection, and reliability. He has excelled as president and chief consultant at EEE Consulting Firm since 2016. In this role, he provides expert witness testimony, leads a team of design engineers, mentors young professionals, reviews and approves all projects, and offers strategic recommendations for future projects. His experience also includes electrical engineering supervisor at Georgia Power Company, where he oversaw operations in Columbus, Albany, Valdosta, Tifton, Bainbridge, Waycross, and Jessup, GA, from 1977 to 2016. He worked in the nuclear division at Union Carbide Corporation for five years, as an electronic data acquisition engineer at Y-12 National Security Complex for three and a half years, at K-25 Enrichment Uranium for nine months, and at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for eight months. He has served as president of the policy council for the Coastal Plain EOA HeadStart Program from 1991 to 1996, board member and president of the Southside Recreation Center from 1983 to 1994, and chartered dean of pledgees for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and he is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, a life member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers, and the Order of the Engineer.
Mr. Everson dedicates his time to serving at the Southside Recreation Center Inc. and as a member and officer of The Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. He also volunteers at numerous events, such as school events, recruitment fairs, Professional Engineers Day, and Engineer’s Week through the Savannah State University National Alumni Association and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Additionally, he holds a provisional patent for the Wattage Watcher/Voltage Monitor-Detector and provided oversight for Georgia Power System’s first solar farm installation in Arlington, Georgia. He also installed animal protection on a three-phase overhead distribution circuit in Valdosta, GA, marking the first animal-proofed circuit on the Georgia Power Grid.
Laying a solid educational foundation for his accomplishments, Mr. Everson earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology from Savannah State College, now Savannah State University, in 1972, followed by a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering with a specialization in electrical power systems from The University of Tennessee in 1977. He furthered his education with a Master of Public Administration from Valdosta State University in 1990. He is a licensed professional electrical engineer in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee, and he is also a certified manager from James Madison University. Additionally, he has completed professional development courses, including “How to Do a Thorough Site Investigation” and “How to Start & Run a Successful Expert Witness Company,” both through SEAK Inc. In the coming years, he aims to expand his company and continue innovating in the field of electrical engineering. He is passionate about inspiring the next generation of young people, introducing them to the engineering profession, and encouraging them to set ambitious goals. He believes in empowering young individuals to discover their capabilities and pursue success on their own terms.
