David Luxford, CISSP, MCSA, Staff Software Engineer at Broadcom, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in software engineering.
With more than 30 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Luxford has excelled as a senior member of the technical staff with VMware and a staff software engineer with Broadcom since 2022. As an expert in information security, software development, project management, and engineering, he is responsible for building software, ensuring the seamless operations of their systems, guiding essential infrastructure projects, and solving problems while interacting with colleagues. During this time, Mr. Luxford was additionally active as an instructor with Grand Circus, an online coding bootcamp, between 2022 and 2023.
Prior to these positions, Mr. Luxford was active with Nexient as a technical delivery manager from 2018 to 2019 and a senior technical delivery manager from 2019 to 2022. Briefly working as a desktop authentication engineer with Trusona between 2020 and 2021, he previously served as a senior software engineer with Duo Security from 2014 to 2016 and with Homepoint from 2016 to 2018. He was also recruited by Accurate Technologies as a senior software engineer between 2012 and 2013 and an architect between 2013 and 2014. Mr. Luxford further refined his skills in his field as a lead software engineer with CyberNet Systems from 2010 to 2012.
Between 2007 and 2011, Mr. Luxford found success as an information technology director with the American Red Cross of Santa Monica. He simultaneously contributed to ASG Software as a senior software engineer from 2008 to 2010. He formerly thrived in the same role with the Symantec Corporation from 1995 to 2007. Mr. Luxford began his career as a database programmer analyst with Advanced Lab Systems between 1992 and 1995.
To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Luxford pursued an education at the University of Oregon, completing undergraduate coursework in computer science from 1992 to 1995. He concluded his academic efforts at the Oregon Institute of Technology in 2000, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in computer software engineering. Following these accomplishments, Mr. Luxford obtained a number of pertinent certifications in his industry, including as an Amazon Web Services Technical Professional, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, and multiple certifications from Microsoft.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Luxford has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his immediate circles. He has exhibited a significant commitment to his community over the years, having devoted more than one thousand volunteer hours to the American Red Cross of Santa Monica. He has likewise provided financial management and multimedia assistance to church activities and children’s church programs at Vineyard Christian Fellowship. A member of American Mensa, Mr. Luxford was presented with a Certificate of Probability in 1998 as a testament to his stellar achievements.
Renowned for his talent for addressing complex and daunting issues, Mr. Luxford is proud for his work on several impactful projects, including his contributions to Home Depot’s flooring division and his various projects with Symantec, all of which aided billion-dollar revenue streams. Looking toward the future, he hopes to continue flourishing in his present positions while navigating the dynamics of his companies and prioritizing the needs of his family. Likewise, he aims to pursue entrepreneurship in his eventual retirement, through which he can make a positive impact on the world. Among these ventures, Mr. Luxford plans to establish a software consultancy firm in Kenya where he can help address the critical need for clean water.
