Grzegorz Musial, CEng, EUR ING, MRAeS, principal engineer at Quest Defense, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in engineering.
With two decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Musial has established a successful career in engineering, specializing in aerospace and mechanical engineering, focusing on engine component design, airfoils, and engine structures. Since 2024, he has excelled as the principal engineer at Quest Defense, serving as the main technology lead, creating strategic solutions for technical challenges, and mentoring his team. His experience also includes roles such as technical manager and technical leader at Quest Defense in Cincinnati from 2022 to 2024 and senior lead engineer from 2021 to 2022. He also served as a senior lead engineer at QuEST Global from 2017 to 2021 and as a propulsion engineer at Boeing in Everett from 2015 to 2017. His career includes international experience with roles in England as director at Advanced Aerospace Ltd. and program manager at Cascade Aerospace Engineering Ltd., as well as earlier positions with General Electric, Warsaw Institute of Aviation, and Avio. Additionally, he dedicates his time to the Royal Aeronautical Society.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Musial has been honored with several awards, including a nomination for the Adamson Award for Outstanding Performance and Lasting Contribution in 2009, the Early Career Award from General Electric that same year, the Rockstar Award for Engineering Excellence at General Electric, and the Medal for Best University Graduate. Laying a solid educational foundation for his success, he earned a Master of Science in mechanical engineering with a specialization in robotics and mechatronics from AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland in 2006. He went on to become a Chartered Engineer with the Royal Aeronautical Society in 2013, and achieved the European Engineer designation through the European Federation of National Engineering Associations in 2012.
Reflecting on his path, Mr. Musial takes great pride in his nomination for the Rockstar Award for engineering excellence, presented by the vice president of engineering at General Electric, recognizing his work on the compressor design for one of Boeing’s latest airplane engines. He attributes his success to a meticulous attention to detail paired with a strong focus on overarching project goals, a skill he honed during his university studies in robotics. In the coming years, he aims to advance within his current company, setting his sights on the position of chief engineer. His commitment also extends to mentoring recent graduates, sharing his expertise to foster the next generation of engineering talent. This dedication reflects his passion for both professional growth and contributing to the field’s future.
