Pradeep Verma, senior information technology (IT) supply chain architect at Agilent Technologies Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in information technology and artificial intelligence (AI).
Born in India, Mr. Verma gained experience in the supply chain while working in a number of manufacturing roles in his home country, including at Pearl Polymers Ltd, Ashoka Metal Décor Ltd, and Wago and Control India Ltd. In 2005, he became a project lead and lead supply chain consultant at NTT Data Services, where he established himself in the field of systems, applications and products (SAP) supply chain architecture. In this role, Mr. Verma collaborated with clients such as New Allenberry Works and Honeywell, showcasing his skill at developing, improving and implementing SAP plans globally. Mr. Verma was first affiliated with Agilent Technologies Inc. for five years as an SAP supply chain consultant beginning in 2007. Following that, he worked briefly as an architect at Technologies India.
After moving to the United States, Mr. Verma contributed as an SAP and supply chain consultant at major companies such as Sterling Software Inc., Palo Alto Networks, NVIDIA Corporation and Fujitsu Technology Solutions. In 2015, he returned to Agilent Technologies as an IT supply chain architect. Mr. Verma’s accomplishments with the company were recognized when he was promoted to senior IT supply chain architect in 2022. His responsibilities include designing production, supply, and payment systems; envisioning a road map for future updates to the organization’s processes; and determining ways to incorporate new technologies like AI and machine learning.
Among his many career achievements, Mr. Verma is especially proud of creating a sales management system for medical devices. While developing this system, he took care to make it usable by medical professionals, giving them access to more data to inform their decisions. Mr. Verma takes pride in his work’s positive impact on people’s lives. He has always viewed his professional life as a means of serving society and credits his success to prioritizing ethical decisions. Additionally, Mr. Verma is committed to lifelong learning and regularly seeks to share his own knowledge with others. He has presented at various conferences and has written articles that have been viewed more than 600,000 times and cited more than 100 times.
Mr. Verma first sought education at the Government City Inter College in Ghazipur, India. After completing initial coursework there, he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical technologies from Harcourt Butler Technical University in 1998. Mr. Verma has demonstrated his dedication to his field through continuous education. He is certified as a supply chain professional by the Association for Supply Chain Management and has completed training in the SAP S/4HANA enterprise resource planning suite. Most recently, Mr. Verma completed certification as a generative AI SAP solution architect.
Beyond his primary vocation, Mr. Verma is devoted to philanthropy and community service. He serves as a member of such groups as the European Database on Medical Devices, the American Chamber of Research, SAP Insider, and the SAP Co-Innovation Circle Initiative. Mr. Verma regularly volunteers within his local community and has offered his guidance as a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America. He has assisted numerous scouts in achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
Outside of his career, Mr. Verma is a loving husband and father to one son. As he moves forward in his professional life, he is focused on leveraging cutting-edge technology to produce the best possible supply chain outcomes. In particular, Mr. Verma plans to enhance the efficiency of his work using AI and machine learning in the years ahead.
