Her work included the construction of new health care facilities at SMH in Sarasota, high-profile downtown developments, and various greenfield community development initiatives, highlighting her diverse expertise and adaptability. She also takes great pride in her involvement in the Searcher Memorial Hospital in Venice. Situated on a 65-acre site, the project presented considerable technical challenges, including the intricate coordination with city, county, and regulatory bodies to design and secure permits for a helipad that complied with FAA regulations. Another notable project was The Quay, a downtown development that has become a valuable community asset. Another achievement was completing a roundabout within eight months, showcasing the efficiency and dedication invested in navigating complex design, permitting, and development agreements.
Ms. Smith attributes her success to the unwavering support of her community, her loving family, her devoted husband, and the guidance of her mentors. Additionally, she credits her personal motivation and drive to succeed. Looking to the future, she is focused on long-term goals centered on vision and strategic planning. She aims to expand her client base and take on a broader array of projects, including potentially risky endeavors that could have substantial benefits for her community. Her primary focus is to create a meaningful impact by supporting smaller entities such as nonprofits, churches, and community schools, as these organizations often struggle to secure assistance from larger corporations.
