Additionally, Mr. Munro is the author of “The ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Handbook, Third Edition,” “The ASQ CSSGB Study Guide,” and “Six Sigma for the Shop Floor: A Pocket Guide,” which remains the most published technical book on the subject in the world. He is also a contributing writer for “Automotive Internal Auditor Pocket Guide: Process Auditing to ISO/TS 16949:2002” published by Quality Magazine. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration with a focus in economics and earth science, and a minor in natural sciences from Adrian College, a Master of Science in industrial technology, specializing in industrial engineering, from Eastern Michigan University, and as an Educational Specialist in instructional technology from Wayne State University. He also holds certificates in Quality Management System Lead Auditor, Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence, Certified Quality Auditor, and Certified Quality Engineer.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Munro has received numerous honors, including Most Valuable Auditor of North America in 2023, Auditor of the Year for LRQA North America in 2022, the 2017 ASQ Crosby Medal, and the ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Handbook from the American Society for Quality in 2016. He was also awarded the Golden Quill Award from ASQ Quality Press in 2015, recognized as a Fellow of the American Society for Quality, and a Fellow of the Chartered Quality Institute. Additionally, he earned the Medal for Technical Expertise from the American Society for Quality.
