Leveraging over two decades of experience in engineering leadership, Mr. Venkatesan has worked for several other notable organizations, including Macy’s Inc. as an engineering manager from 2013 to 2020 and Infosys Ltd. as a technology architect for Apple Retail between 2012 and 2013. Among other significant roles, he was a solutions architect for United Airlines, Chubb Insurance, Mobil Posse and Xfinity at Insigmainc.com from 2010 to 2012, a project lead for Boeing and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company at HCL Technologies Limited between 2004 and 2010, a software analyst at Maxem in 2004 and a senior Java programmer at Kasat Computers, dating back to 1999.
Highly educated, Mr. Venkatesan received a Bachelor of Science in information technology from Karnataka State Open University in 2006 and a Master of Science in information technology and management from Aspen University in 2014. Besides his work-related commitments, he enjoys giving back his time as a San Francisco-Marin Food Bank volunteer, a mentor for local high school students and an IT director for a Buddhist volunteer organization in San Francisco. He has also served as the senior vice president of the Mountain House Tracy Cricket Association since 2022. In light of his success with Macy’s, Mr. Venkatesan received a Make Magic Award in 2013, 2016, 2017 and 2018, a Make Magic Now Award in 2014 and a Best of the Best in 2015. However, his most notable accomplishments included his involvement with HCL Technologies on a project with Boeing, where he was instrumental in developing 15 computing systems, and his contributions to modernizing Macy’s legacy systems.
