With nearly three and a half decades of experience, Mr. Hartunian has established a distinguished career in aerospace engineering and project management. Since 2023, he has served as an integrated product team (IPT) lead, control account manager (CAM), and principal engineer at Collins Aerospace. In this role, he leads team meetings, manages budgets and schedules using earned value management systems, ensures projects remain on schedule, and oversees the delivery of parts. His experience includes serving as an IPT lead, CAM, and principal engineer at Pratt & Whitney from 2020 to 2023, and as a CIPT industrial manager and IPT lead at Pratt & Whitney from 2016 to 2021. He also held roles as quality engineer manager and continuous improvement manager from 2014 to 2016, material integration leader for PMC CSE CSMC from 2011 to 2013, and quality leader and ACE leader for CSMC from 2009 to 2011. From 2004 to 2009, he worked as a quality engineer specialist and ACE leader, and from 2002 to 2004, he served as a project lead, all at Pratt & Whitney.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Hartunian was a cell leader and senior manufacturing engineer at Colt Defense LLC from 1998 to 2002, manufacturing and quality engineer at GE Aviation from 1993 to 1998, and manufacturing engineer at Pratt & Whitney from 1992 to 1994. Laying a strong educational foundation, he earned a Bachelor of Science in manufacturing engineering from Central Connecticut State University in 1991 and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Albertus Magnus College. He is also a certified continuous improvement expert from and core associate from RTX. Additionally, he achieved ACE B certification with proficiency in DIVE/ProCert through the Pratt & Whitney engineering ACE program in 2012, ACE practitioner certification through the UTC ACE certification program in 2010, and ACE associate certification from the same program in 2007. He also became a process certification level 2 auditor at Pratt & Whitney in 2005.

Reflecting on his path, Mr. Hartunian was inspired by the influence of his father, who worked in the aerospace industry. A standout moment in his career occurred when he played a pivotal role in delivering a critical part for the International Space Station. The part, which had not been produced in over 25 years, posed significant challenges due to outdated technical data and the disappearance or acquisition of the original suppliers. To solve the issue, he led efforts to identify new suppliers, revive the necessary technical specifications, and secure approvals while addressing logistical and credit issues. He was able to ensure the part’s delivery just three days before the SpaceX launch. He takes immense pride in his ability to tackle complex challenges and navigate high-stakes projects while maintaining strict adherence to timelines and operational requirements.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Hartunian has been honored with the Eagle Award, Special Award, and Appreciation Award from Pratt & Whitney, as well as the CSMC General Manager Award and the HS Problem Solver MVP Award. He attributes his success to a steadfast belief in creating win-win scenarios and a commitment to perseverance, consistently striving to turn the seemingly impossible into reality. Looking to the future, he aspires to establish his real estate enterprise as a leading agency in Florida and eventually across the United States. In his corporate career, he aims to advance to a people management role, where he can leverage his experience to mentor and guide teams toward achieving collective success.
