Mr. Zampella is renowned for his expertise in technology with a career spanning over two decades. Since 2023, he has been the head of product and engineering at Firehouse Subs, a restaurant chain founded in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1994. Working in Miami, his position involves overseeing a team of engineers who support marketing campaigns, user engagement, loyalty programs and information restoration while supervising quality assurance to ensure that point-of-sale systems, applications and delivery platforms operate effectively. Moreover, Mr. Zampella strives to align his team with projects that support various digital initiatives, such as mobile applications in the U.S. and Canada and the website, to drive sales. Leveraging over 15 years of technology and architecture experience in his latest position, he has successfully brought a fresh perspective to garnering technology solutions to the forefront.
Before joining Firehouse Subs, Mr. Zampella garnered success with several other organizations, dating back to 2000 when he first worked as a system software developer at CA Technologies. Over the next decade, he earned positions with G & P Projetos e Sistemas, ABN AMRO Bank N.V., SAS and Santander Bank NA. In 2010, Mr. Zampella was acquired by Oracle as a principal solution architect, followed by SAP in the same capacity from 2013 to 2014. He then spent another 10 years in Toronto, earning positions at Wunderman as an Snr director of technology, SapientRazorfish as the director of technology, Accenture as the head of technology, and Tim Hortons, one of the largest restaurant chains in North America and the largest in Canada, as the head of product, technology and advanced analytics.
In preparation for future success, Mr. Zampella earned a bachelor’s degree in information technology from the Faculty of Informatics and Administration of São Paulo in 2004 and a Master of Business Administration from Ibmec in São Paulo in 2007. Besides his degrees, he became highly qualified by completing numerous professional credentials, including advanced product management certification, recognition as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate and Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer, designation as a certified ScrumMaster through Scrum Alliance Inc., and, among others, credentials as a Microsoft Certified Professional in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3.
Mr. Zampella is a member of Scrum Alliance Inc., which allows him to remain at the forefront of the industry. He has also been invited to speak on technology at numerous professional conferences.
In light of his accomplishments, Mr. Zampella was recognized at Oracle as the Best Pre-Sales Consultant for the Quarter. He credits much of his professional success to the guidance and support of his parents, who were the most significant mentors throughout his journey.
As he prepares for the future, Mr. Zampella intends to remain committed to creating a legacy for his children as a dedicated family man. Through his company, he aims to establish more opportunities for his team and help them grow in their roles. Mr. Zampella also has aspirations of owning and operating his own company within the industry and delving into the real estate sector to broaden his horizons.
