His experience also includes roles such as lead senior liaison engineer in production support from 2015 to 2017, senior liaison engineer in 2015, and lead liaison engineer and scientist from 2012 to 2015. Earlier in his career, he held positions as a procurement engineer at Aerojet Space Propulsion from 2004 to 2006, senior buyer at Cingular/AT&T Wireless from 2003 to 2004, and strategic sourcing manager at U.S. West/Qwest from 1999 to 2001. He also contributed as a design engineer at Allied Product from 1994 to 1997 and as an engineer with Comcast in 1993. He also dedicates his time as a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and serving on Boeing’s material review board.

Mr. Bowersox laid an educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan in 1992, a Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University, a certificate in global technical leadership from the University of Washington in 2017, and a systems engineering certificate from MIT in 2016. Reflecting on his path, his most significant achievement was obtaining launch approval for the New Horizons spacecraft, which captured the first photographs of Pluto. He worked on the propulsion system for the probe, completing extensive reviews to ensure safety, culminating in presidential approval. Additionally, he takes pride in his contributions to Boeing’s 787, 777, and 747 models, as well as the KC-46 Tanker.

Mr. Bowersox attributes his success to hard work, dedication, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Looking ahead, he aims to consult in aerospace, focusing on manufacturing and business development. He is also committed to mentoring the next generation, gathering knowledge from retiring professionals to share with younger engineers, and ensuring the continued advancement of the industry.
