Mr. Rodriguez, a serial entrepreneur and expert in network engineering, has been focusing his career efforts on the technology sector for over 15 years. Since 2023, he has been serving as the director of networking engineering at Foothills Broadband, where he has been instrumental in managing core network operations deployment and design. The internet service provider focuses on providing the foothills of North Carolina with fiber internet.
Besides his contributions to Foothills Broadband, Mr. Rodriguez has been serving as the director of engineering and operations at Camellia City Fiber since 2022, a locally owned fiber internet company serving the Slidell, Louisiana, community, and as the founder and chief executive officer of NOLA Broadband LLC since 2016, a full-service internet service and telephone provider in the New Orleans area. Additionally, Mr. Rodriguez has garnered success as the founder and chief executive officer at Shift Hosting LLC since 2016 and Shift Enterprises LLC since 2010. Through these organizations, he has been focusing on supplying bandwidth to the smaller IFPs around the United States.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Rodriguez worked for a local computer repair company beginning in 2009, where he was primarily self-taught. Hired as an apprentice, he later became a manager for the organization. Subsequently, Mr. Rodriguez joined Capital One and was involved in fieldwork as a contractor before becoming a full-time employee as a hardware triage and third-level support personnel. Recruited to work for NOLA Motorsports Park, he excelled as a network administrator until 2016.
Over the past decade, Mr. Rodriguez has focused primarily on building fiber and wireless networks. Drawing incredible satisfaction from his work, his efforts have been successful in creating networks that ensure superior online experiences for users. He has also worked diligently to offer high-quality service at a fair price.
Mr. Rodriguez received numerous professional designations to support his career success. He received a networking concepts certificate from Brainbench and became a certified broadband wireless administrator through Ubiquiti Inc. Mr. Rodriguez also received certifications through MikroTik as a routing engineer, inter-networking engineer, network associate and security engineer. Furthermore, he received basic certification through 3CX.
When he is not busy at work, Mr. Rodriguez has enjoyed giving back to his local community. Most notably, he served as a Terrytown Volunteer Fire Department firefighter between 2012 and 2014, a testament to the admiration he has for his fellow neighbors.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rodriguez has achieved tremendous success. Among his proudest accomplishments was the sale of one of his companies to a larger corporation. He partnered with investors to donate a fiber optic network in Louisiana, which he built himself, handling all fiber installation and managing all orders, engineering, permitting, and his team.
Mr. Rodriguez credits his success to his determination to excel and outperform the competition. He also notes the importance of transparency. In the coming years, he intends to continue building networks. His goal is to create one of the largest networks in the U.S. before expanding internationally, particularly in countries where the Internet is not yet considered a commodity.
