Passionate about the field, he has been a sales and solutions engineer at Retarus Inc. since 2021, a leading software development company based in Germany. Working from the New York City metropolitan area, Mr. Ivlev is involved in various areas of the business, completing everyday tasks while following the organization’s mission to provide expert enterprise-level cloud solutions.
Founded in 1992, Retarus Inc. focuses on providing an array of products, services and resources that support its growing clientele. Originally established as a start-up, it has developed into a global leader in B2B cloud communications solutions over the past three decades.
Before joining his firm, Mr. Ivlev was the vice president of customer support at Inex Technologies in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, between 2019 and 2021, where he was responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction. His promotion came after initially working at Inex as a sales engineer from 2016 to 2021. The company is best known for creating innovative solutions for license plate recognition and other vehicle imaging applications.
Mr. Ivlev also garnered success early on as a student technology consultant at Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey, between 2015 and 2016, providing software technology support to students and teachers on campus and as a summer intern at Combustion Group in Wayne, New Jersey, from 2015 to 2016, where he worked on mobile applications for iPhone and Android. Earlier, Mr. Ivlev gained experience as a web content administrator at Biryukov Academy between 2012 and 2013, where he first developed a passion for computers.
After high school, Mr. Ivlev studied engineering at the University of Pittsburg in 2012 before transferring to Bergen Community College, where he received an Associate’s Degree in data modeling, warehousing and database administration and programming in 2015. He also attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey, receiving a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering technology, summa cum laude, in 2016.
When he is not busy focusing on his career, Mr. Ivlev enjoys giving back to his local community through various initiatives. Passionate about his faith, he is also a member of the Adventist Community of New York.
Since joining Retarus Inc., Mr. Ivlev has had the good fortune to provide his expertise for several notable companies, where he was instrumental in defining solutions for conflicts between companies, integrating solutions, and retrieving feedback on how well the solutions worked for them. These opportunities keep him engaged and excited about his work.
Mr. Ivlev attributes much of his professional success to his knowledge of computers and technology. The ever-changing aspects of technology also keep him excited and yearning to continuously learn and grow. Mr. Ivlev’s goal in the coming years is to secure a management position where he can broaden his professional horizons and make a more significant impact in his field. He is primarily interested in the financial technology and in the security sector.
