Jake Yamona, senior software architect at MHD Tuning, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in information technology.
Mr. Yamona, a senior software architect at MHD Tuning, has excelled in his position for over five years. Hired in 2019, he assists with the company’s mobile application and continually defines the workings of the engine control unit (ECU) tables. Among other tasks, Mr. Yamona is exploring more advanced functionality and is involved in higher-level mobile app design, reverse engineering, and integrating new features into the ECU. His expertise as a developer and his determination to find solutions when others cannot have been pivotal to his success.
In addition to his role at MHD Tuning, Mr. Yamona has been affiliated with LodeStar Software Solutions as the company’s lead software engineer since 2019. Earlier in his career, he held positions with TMNA Services LLC as a programmer III and senior programmer and Leader Services as a .NET developer. Mr. Yamona’s interest in technology stems from his experiences coming of age after getting his first computer and engaging in graphic work, web page design and programming, all before he entered high school.
To prepare for his career, Mr. Yamona received a Bachelor of Science in computer science and business from Lehigh University in 2009 and a Master of Science in software engineering from the University of Scranton in 2013. He also remains active in his industry as a member of the MF Society. Throughout his career, Mr. Yamona has enjoyed the opportunity to write code for MHD Tuning, during which he achieved success almost immediately. He was also involved in the first release of the Flex Fuel add-on, which had not been done previously on a production BMW automobile. In the future, he hopes to address the backlog of feature requests at his company before ultimately expanding into another manufacturing market where he can expand his horizons.
