Mr. Millé recently retired as a senior engineer for Cespira/Westport Fuel Systems Inc., a company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Concluding his remarkable career with the company after more than 45 years, he spent the last decade in this capacity, leading initiatives to optimize supplier performance and reduce costs in the automotive fuel systems sector. Mr. Millé was also instrumental in developing dual fuel injectors, enhancing vehicle efficiency and reducing emissions, among other accomplishments.

Before his most recent title at Westport Fuel, Mr. Millé was a senior supplier development engineer of international supply base management and vendor optimization from 1992 to 2024. He served in identical positions at ACH LLC, Visteon Corporation and Ford Motor Company during the same time frame. During his tenure at Westport Fuel, Mr. Millé also held several additional engineering roles with other organizations throughout Michigan, working with companies like Faurecia, Automotive Components Holding and Visteon Corporation.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Millé consulted for MIS International on advanced product, tool design and manufacturing engineering from 1990 to 1993 after consulting on manufacturing optimization and process improvement between 1986 and 1990. Mr. Millé graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in quality management and a Master of Business Administration in executive management from Cleary University in Howell, Michigan. Despite focusing his studies early on in history and anthropology, he realized that the field would not necessarily pay enough for him to live comfortably. Ultimately, Mr. Millé changed his trajectory and discovered another path.

As a dedicated member of his community, Mr. Millé remains active with the Clinton Valley chapter of the Michigan Archaeological Society, the National Rifle Association of America and the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association. He also received a Key Contributor Award for civic engagement from the Huron Valley Girl Scout Council.

Mr. Millé’s expertise in supply-based management has been pivotal to his success. However, he attributes his good fortune primarily to his passion for his profession, particularly for his role in reducing emissions and improving fuel efficiency. Throughout his career, he experienced launching innovative technologies, such as hydrogen fuel systems for heavy-duty vehicles. His commitment to advancing sustainable practices in the automotive industry for a cleaner future was widely recognized.

Hoping to work for another 20 years, Mr. Millé intends to make a significant impact while continually contributing to sustainable practices in the automotive industry through innovative engineering solutions.
