Srinivasamurthy Kadaba, engineering project manager at McDermott International Ltd., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in project management.
Mr. Kadaba has served as an engineering project manager at McDermott International Ltd. since 2015. Based in Houston, the company provides engineering and construction solutions to the energy industry. His role in the U.S. came after working for McDermott for nearly a decade in Singapore between 2006 and 2011 as a mechanical department manager and then as a project engineering manager from 2011 to 2015. Before joining his firm, Mr. Kadaba was a principal technical professional at Kellogg Brown & Root (now KBR Consulting) from 1999 to 2006, a premier, London-based consulting firm focusing on the hydrocarbon and energy industry.
As the engineering manager, Mr. Kadaba manages a team of experts and assists in the design process. He also interacts with each client’s engineering team to address issues that may not have been resolved before communicating these concerns to the design team, ensuring necessary changes are implemented. Moreover, Mr. Kadaba confirms that the teams are on track to ensure smooth progression with every project. Besides these obligations, he recruits and trains engineers, mentoring them and providing them with leadership roles to ensure they progress ahead of schedule and become well-heard within the organization.
Mr. Kadaba graduated from Bangalore University with a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering in 1985 and subsequently received numerous professional credentials through LinkedIn, which have been instrumental in his ability to lead and better understand the rapidly changing industry, particularly in artificial intelligence. His expertise in mechanical engineering has been pivotal to his success. Mr. Kadaba’s most notable achievement throughout his tenure occurred during the early phases of his career while working for an Indian research organization that conducted wind tunnel experiments. The Indian Air Force and Navy were launching missiles that experienced turbulence, and despite being guided, these missiles struggled to reach their targets and change direction due to vibrations and incorrect profiles that affected their distance traveled. His contributions were influential in identifying errors. Looking ahead, Mr. Kadaba intends to continue impacting his field by implementing proper safety measures. He also hopes to continue influencing his organization and his community.
