Mr. Ayoub’s role involves assisting clients in analyzing their electrical systems, identifying deficiencies and updating systems as needed. Additionally, he issues final report diagnoses and makes recommendations for improvements. Since 2017, Mr. Ayoub has also shared his knowledge as an adjunct faculty member at Morgan State University in Baltimore, where he has played a crucial role in preparing students for future careers in this sector.

Power Studies Group LLC specializes in providing electrical engineering services, specifically power system studies and engineering, as well as arc-flash training, to clients that include large corporations. As such, Mr. Ayoub and his team train their technicians, electricians and engineers. With licensure for various packages that analyze power systems, the company can offer seamless training in those areas. Upon completion of their training, Power Studies Group LLC issues a certificate from Bradley University. Trainees also receive training hours to renew their certificates.

Leveraging his former success, Mr. Ayoub served as a senior power systems engineer at General Electric Company in Linthicum Heights, Maryland, from 2000 to 2018. During his lengthy tenure there, he refined his skills in power systems engineering and made significant contributions to the company’s projects. Before joining General Electric Company, Mr. Ayoub excelled as a senior electrical engineer at Exponent Failure Analysis Associates in Boston, Massachusetts, between 1994 and 2000. His early career included a five-year tenure with another local company in Boston, where he laid the foundation for his career in electrical engineering.

Mr. Ayoub speaks English, Arabic and French. His academic background includes earning a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering in 1985 and a Master of Science in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems in 1987 from Northeastern University. Mr. Ayoub’s education equipped him with the technical knowledge necessary for his career and inspired his curiosity about electrical systems. This curiosity began much earlier during his childhood when he would explore the inner workings of household electronics. Additionally, Power Studes Group LLC holds safety training certification through the Maryland Department of Labor.

In addition to his professional roles, Mr. Ayoub is actively involved in industry-related organizations. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and has contributed to various working groups and committees within the organization. Among his involvements, Mr. Ayoub chaired the education committee for the IEEE Boston Chapter of the Power Engineering Society from 1996 to 1997. He later served on the IEEE 1584 Standard Working Group for Arc-Flash Hazard Calculations between 2002 and 2018.

Mr. Ayoub’s contributions extend beyond his professional endeavors into civic engagement. He has served on the board of Our Lady’s Center Church Council in Ellicott City and participated as a board member and committee member for the Parish Council at Our Lady of Lebanon in Washington, D.C. His volunteer work also includes supporting the Boy Scouts of America and contributing to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

As a seasoned researcher, Dr. Ayoub has authored and co-authored numerous works, including multiple articles on topics such as arc flash mitigation techniques and NFPA 70E requirements. Looking ahead, he envisions continuing his work with Power Studies Group LLC while inspiring his children to surpass his achievements.
