His journey in technology began earlier at Tata Consultancy Services, where he held various roles between 2005 and 2012, including software engineer in South Africa, senior software engineer in India, software engineering lead in South Africa, and technology delivery lead in Wilmington, Delaware. These experiences laid a strong foundation for Mr. Phukan’s subsequent achievements in the financial sector.
Academically, Mr. Phukan’s credentials have included earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Gauhati University in India in 1999 and a Master of Computer Applications in computer software engineering from Periyar University in India in 2003. Years later, he returned to college, receiving a Master of Business Administration with a focus on information technology from Goldey-Beacom College in 2014, where he was inducted into the honor class of Alpha Chi.
In addition to his formal education, Mr. Phukan pursued numerous certifications that have further enhanced his professional capabilities. Notable among these are academy accreditations in generative artificial intelligence fundamentals from Databricks, as well as several LinkedIn certifications focusing on communication, decision-making strategies and cybersecurity.
