Under his guidance, DevOps Live has grown into a prominent forum for industry professionals, attracting speakers on specialized topics and evolving into an annual conference that draws approximately 500 attendees. Prior to joining LiveRamp, Mr. Jelinek wasactive as a senior DevOps engineer at The Container Store Inc. in Coppell, Texas from 2017 to 2021. In this role, he played a pivotal part in optimizing deployment pipelines and enhancing system reliability for the organization’s technology infrastructure. From 2016 to 2017, he contributed as a course author at LinuxAcademy in Keller, Texas, where he developed educational content designed to equip learners with practical skills in Linux administration and DevOps methodologies. Between 2012 and 2016, he worked as a WebAPI on-boarding engineer at TradeStation in Richardson, Texas. Mr. Jelinek’s responsibilities during this time included facilitating seamless integration for clients and ensuring robust support for application programming interfaces.
Mr. Jelinek’s earlier experience includes serving as a software developer at RightNow Media from 2011 to 2012, where he was involved in building scalable digital solutions for media distribution. He was also recruited as a CRM programmer and customer support specialist at DonorDirect from 2010 to 2011, providing technical support and custom programming for nonprofit organizations.
Mr. Jelinek began his career as an IT help desk technician at PSK CPA from 2008 to 2009 and a systems analyst at Young America Insurance from 2009 to 2010. These positions provided him with essential insights into information technology operations and client service. Throughout his career, Mr. Jelinek has been additionally affiliated with the Association of Information Technology Professionals, further demonstrating his commitment to professional development and industry engagement.
Before embarking upon his professional path, Mr. Jelinek pursued an education at Tarrant County College, from which he earned an Associate of Arts in liberal arts in 2007. He ultimately concluded his studies with a Bachelor of Science in information systems from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2009. An economics professor first encouraged him to pursue information systems after noticing his early adoption of technology in class. Later, through the Association of Information Technology Professionals, he met Deborah Lovell—a mentor whose vision and encouragement inspired him deeply. Together they collaborated on several projects, including leading a children’s camp that partnered with a local homeless shelter to teach underprivileged youth essential technology skills. These formative experiences instilled in Mr. Jelinek a passion for mentorship and community impact.
Mr. Jelinek attributes much of his success to surrounding himself with supportive individuals who recognized his potential and invested in his growth. The confidence shown by mentors such as Ms. Lovell made a lasting impression on both his personal and professional development. Mr. Jelinek’s career reflects not only technical excellence but also a commitment to mentorship, community engagement and continuous learning within the ever-evolving landscape of information technology.
