Mr. Marquez was previously active as product manager at General Cable De Mexico Sa De Cv in Mexico City from 2012 to 2013, where he managed product lines and coordinated with cross-functional teams to meet market demands.
From 2011 to 2012, Mr. Marquez refined his skills as product engineer at General Cable De Mexico Sa De Cv, focusing on product development and technical support. He began his career at Citi in Mexico City, where he was an infrastructure engineer from 2006 to 2011. During this time, Mr. Marquez gained valuable experience in large-scale infrastructure projects and honed his problem-solving skills.
Over the years, Mr. Marquez has demonstrated a high level of expertise in electrical engineering. He is recognized for his technical acumen and commitment to excellence within the field. Mr. Marquez’s passion for electrical engineering at the age of 14, working as a supporting electrician installing cables in residential homes while living in Mexico. A technical workshop during middle school sparked his interest in electricity, leading him to pursue a technical professional career during high school before ultimately earning a college degree. Looking back during the early phase of his professional development, Mr. Marquez remains grateful for the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the electrical industry.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Marquez is civically engaged as a member of the Knights of Columbus, reflecting his commitment to service and community involvement. Among his most notable accolades is the People’s Choice Award from Southwire Company in 2015, which remains a testament to his impact within the organization.
Mr. Marquez’s legacy is rooted in perseverance and family values passed down from parents who migrated from Michoacán to Mexico City seeking better opportunities for their children. Continuing this tradition, he immigrated to the United States and overcame adversity, including stereotypes about immigrants, by demonstrating resilience and earning respect through hard work and expertise.
