Mr. Berteotti has established a distinguished career as a project manager and mechanical engineer, specializing in health care, higher education, and science and technology projects. Over more than a decade in the profession, he has demonstrated expertise in project management and the design of complex mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing and fire protection. Mr. Berteotti’s commitment to excellence is evident in his ability to work directly with clients to develop project proposals, ensure timely and budget-conscious project completion, conduct technical and quality control reviews and mentor a team of five direct reports.
Since 2019, Mr. Berteotti has served as a mechanical engineer at Stantec in Butler, Pennsylvania. In this capacity, he has played a pivotal role in leading projects across a diverse array of building types. His responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of mechanical systems design and implementation, as well as guiding his team through the intricacies of each project. Mr. Berteotti is also recognized as a Stantec carbon ambassador, reflecting his commitment to sustainability within the industry.
Before joining Stantec, Mr. Berteotti was an HVAC engineer at CannonDesign, The Cannon Corporation, in the Greater Pittsburgh area from 2015 to 2019. During this period, he completed the design of a one-million-square-foot hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. This significant milestone showcased his ability to manage large-scale health care projects. Mr. Berteotti previously excelled as an HVAC engineer (EIT) at Astorino, now part of CannonDesign, The Cannon Corporation, between 2012 and 2014.
Mr. Berteotti’s earlier experience included internships with several organizations, including Brayman Construction in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in Indiana, Pennsylvania, which provided him with a unique perspective on addressing client challenges and approaching the design process effectively. He also served as summer maintenance staff at Karns City Area School District in Karns City, Pennsylvania, in 2007, and at Moniteau School District in West Sunbury, Pennsylvania, in 2009 and 2010.
In preparation for his career in the field, Mr. Berteotti earned a Bachelor of Science in architectural engineering with a minor in biomechanical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in 2012. He also garnered professional engineer licenses from both the commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the New York State Office of the Professions, underscoring Mr. Berteotti’s technical competence and commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
Throughout his career, Mr. Berteotti has been an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. Beyond his professional achievements, he is civically engaged as a committee member with Scouting America and serves as treasurer for a local Cub Scout pack within Scouting America. Furthermore, Mr. Berteotti is a member of his church’s pastoral council, demonstrating his commitment to the religious community.
