From 2024 to 2025, Mr. McClure excelled as a senior data engineer at Synapticure, an Illinois-based company that focuses on virtual care for individuals and caregivers living with neurodegenerative diseases. During his tenure, he helped advance data infrastructure and engineering. Earlier, in 2023 and 2024, Mr. McClure was a principal Amazon Web Services developer at Summit Human Capital.
Among other notable roles, Mr. McClure worked for ReserveBar in Amarillo as a manager of data architecture and engineering, and for Verana Health in Knoxville, Tennessee, in various roles, beginning as a data engineer and ultimately becoming a manager of MIPS data engineering. He also worked as an independent contractor specializing in data science and mechanical engineering in Amarillo, where he collaborated with a Canadian company to develop a novel heart-health sensor to diagnose cardiac arterial disease noninvasively. As a data science consultant on this project, Mr. McClure notably engineered an algorithm that analyzed sound sensor data to detect cardiac arterial disease with greater accuracy than traditional methods, such as heart catheterization or EKG stress tests.
From 2017 to 2020, Mr. McClure was an associate data scientist at AgStrata, LLC, where he contributed analytical expertise to agricultural technology projects aimed at optimizing crop production and resource management. His early professional experience included serving as an engineering technician at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service in Bushland, Texas, starting in 2015. Mr. McClure also completed several internships and worked as a lab technician at Gold Standard Labs in Jarrell, Texas, starting in 2012.
Mr. McClure earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering with a minor in mathematics from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas, in 2016. The rigorous curriculum provided him with strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities that have been integral throughout his career transitions into software engineering and data science.
